The staff here are excellent, but their management is execrable: Communities with ONE TENTH the population, have their own zip code and post office, but not YLP, a neighboring community, with TEN TIMES the population of the rest of this part of MADERA county. The ponyexpress building is ELEVEN miles from the majority of the population in its geography. It also appears that the usps management are doing NOTHING to investigate the mail theft, that necessitates having one's mail HELD at this facility. I would give the faciliy ONE STAR if it weren't for the powerless well-meaning employees here.

You can always expect a smile. Excellent services offered at this federal facility. Small town feel. I can't say enough about the service that this particular Post Office - provides the community. I'm thankful that it is in our small town of Coarsegold and located where it is. Honestly, I have never encountered such friendly group of people at a post office
